Lighting changes the mood of a production throughout the play or a tv show. Although it is the art designer’s job to create a physical and theatrical world that enables the actor to tell the story of the play, the director still has the final say on the look and feel. 1.Tell the story

The main function of stage design is to support the story. There is usually a deeper meaning within the story that connects the design with the viewers. Good visual composition is a necessity on set. This includes how large or small items are arranged and how spacious or empty the room will appear. In addition, costumes can create composition through combination of color, texture and value.
